The Tajweed Bridging Program at Al-Itqan Academy serves as a vital transitional stage between the Pre-Qur’an Program and the Qur’an Recitation Program. Designed for students who have mastered the basics of Arabic reading and makhārij, this program builds the essential skills required for fluent and accurate Qur’anic recitation with applied tajweed.
In this phase, students move beyond letter recognition and pronunciation, developing the ability to identify and apply tajweed rules directly within selected sūrahs. Through guided exploration and targeted practice, students dissect individual āyāt to uncover the tajweed principles embedded within the text—such as madd, ghunnah, qalqalah, and rules of waqf.
This analytical approach not only reinforces theoretical knowledge but also strengthens the students’ confidence in recognising patterns and applying rules in real recitation contexts. Teachers provide detailed feedback, ensuring each student grasps both the concept and its practical implementation.
The program is structured to ensure a smooth and confident progression into the Qur’an Recitation Program. It nurtures independent learning, deepens understanding of tajweed, and lays the foundation for a meaningful connection with the Qur’an through accurate and reflective recitation.
